Awards Programs

The NSBC hosts three awards to those who support boat safety and outreach. The awards include: the Boating Safety Hall of Fame, Boating Safety Youth Award, and the Confluence Awards. 

Boating Safety Hall of Fame
This award is used to recognize those who have demonstrated vital leadership and support through many years of service to boating safety. The National Safe Boating Council utilizes the Boating Safety Hall of Fame to bring the deserving attention to those individuals that tirelessly and selflessly commit themselves to such a worthy cause and, in turn, making our nation’s waterways safer for all to enjoy. Boating Safety Youth Award

The Boating Safety Youth Program award is designed toprovide a vehicle for recognizing organizations and individuals that have developed and successfully implemented innovative youth boating education programs targeting safety issues and concerns of national interest. For a youth boating program to qualify, it must integrate safety practices into the program and be aimed at students less than 18 years of age. Selection priority is given to unique or innovative programs with the primary goal of increasing boat safety. To learn more about this award click here

Confluence Awards

The Confluence Awards, supported by the National Safe Boating Council (NSBC) and National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA), recognize those individuals who have worked to save lives, reduce boating casualties, and ensure boating resources are returned to boaters. The diligence and vision of these individuals result in safe and enjoyable recreational boating, enhanced homeland security, and implementation of the Strategic Plan of the National Recreational Boating Safety Program for America’s waterways.
